(CNN) – Two sources tell CNN president Trump’s private attorney who remains entangled in an ongoing legal spat with stormy Daniels visited Mar-a-lago this past weekend.

It came as Michael Cohen’s legal disputes with the porn actress increased.

Cohen was at the same fundraising event as president Trump at the Florida resort, but it’s not clear whether Cohen spoke directly with Trump.

Neither Cohen nor the White House are commenting on that.

In the week preceding his Mar-a-Lago visit, Cohen secretly obtained a restraining order against Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford.

And Daniels’ attorney alleges Cohen pressured her to keep silent.

The White House has continually attempted to distance Trump from the ongoing saga with stormy Daniels.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Wednesday as far as she knew, Trump wasn’t aware of the $130,000 payment Cohen made to Daniels in 2016.

(CNN) – One of the next places you see Barack Obama could be on Netflix.

“The New York Times” is reporting the former president is in talks with the streaming service about a production partnership.

Details have not been finalized, but the deal could see Obama serving as moderator in a new series.

He could also stay off-camera in a producer role.

One idea would feature Michelle Obama discussing topics like nutrition.

A deal could give Netflix an edge in the competitive landscape of streaming media services, which includes Amazon and Hulu.

It would also give the Obamas a platform to reach a huge worldwide audience.

Netflix boasts more than 117-million subscribers.

More than half of those are outside the United States.

Murder suspect Justin Davidson appeared here at the Russell County Judicial Center this week for a preliminary hearing where evidence revealed Lorenzo Freeman Sr. was blown away by Davidson and his 12 gauge shotgun.

Investigators told a Russell County Judge Justin Davidson had no justification for taking the life of Lorenzo Freeman who died from multiple shotgun blasts in an effort to protect his son

and now a number of people have come forward to report Davidson was shouting racial slurs as he began firing on Freeman.

“Whether this is in fact a hate crime is something that will be determined at the Grand Jury. There is evidence of that.” Ken Davis

But the District Attorney said there is no question  the deadly incident started more than 20 miles away on the other side of the River.

“We remain convinced that this began as a road incident and that it actually began in Columbus, Georgia.” Ken Davis

Davidson petitioned the court to lower his bond of a half a million dollars but the DA’s office successfully argued against that.

“This particular case we felt like we had reason to believe that the defendant could well be a flight risk.”

Justin Davidson, also a former soldier remains behind bars on that $500,000 dollar bond.

In the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, the seventh-seeded Columbus State University women’s basketball team nearly pulled off the upset in a 90-79 overtime loss against second-seeded Wingate. Friday’s opening round game was played at Carson-Newman.

Machala Raymonville led all scorers with 25 points on the day, to go along with eight rebounds and five steals. Eboni Williams and Tatiana Wayne each finished with 13 points.

“I’m proud of the way we fought today,” head coach Anita Howard said. “When Machala fouled out and Tatiana was banged up, we had some young ladies step in off the bench and make some big plays.

“We’re disappointed in the final result, but we have a lot to be proud of with this season.”

In a game that went back and forth all day long, Columbus State (19-10) found itself with a two-point lead heading to the fourth quarter thanks to a floater at the buzzer from Wayne to end the third.

Wingate (26-5) pulled ahead with a 3-pointer early in the fourth, but Sabria Cotton answered with one of her own to seesaw it back in CSU’s favor. That would be one of just two field goals the Lady Cougars made in the final quarter.

CSU stayed in the ballgame with defense and free throws, but found itself down 72-67 with three minutes remaining. Wayne went to the line and knocked down 3-of-4 over the next 60 seconds and Cotton tied the game with a pair of her own.

The Columbus State University baseball team moved its winning streak to double digits with a 6-1 win over UNC Pembroke on Friday evening. The Peach Belt Conference game was played at Burger King Stadium at Ragsdale Field.

Kolton Ingram (5-0) recorded his second straight complete game on the mound and the Cougar offense pounded out three more home runs to give CSU its 10th straight win.

“Kolton didn’t have his best stuff tonight, especially early,” head coach Greg Appleton said. “He did a good job though of battling throughout the game and the defense played well behind him.”

Things got started with a bang on Friday night as Mason McClellan jumped on a pitch in the bottom of the first inning for a two-run home run. The long ball was his third of the season and ultimately proved to provide all the offense Ingram would need.

Ingram allowed leadoff runners in the first two innings, but the Cougars erased both via double plays. Austin Pharr doubled off a runner with a strong throw in the first inning and McClellan snagged a line drive and caught the runner off in the second.

UNC Pembroke (13-4, 6-4 PBC) got its only run of the night with a two-out single in the third, however it didn’t take long for the Cougars to get the run back.

Columbus State (16-2, 4-0) pushed the lead right back to two as Justin Evans went the other way with a deep homer to right-centerfield leading off the third.

The shooting in the Auburn Mall parking lot happened right before the Friday night dinner rush.

A lot of folks saw what happened and ran over to help.

Opelika resident Katie Dawson drove up on the shooting aftermath. Her 19-month-old in the car with her. Still, she sprang into action to give medical help to one of the men shot.

“I drove right through here. A man was on his cell phone and I saw some ladies over here and then I saw a man laying on the ground,” said Dawson.

She said she didn’t think, she just acted.

“I saw him holding his side and the ladies told me he’d been shot. That’s when I got out of my car and grabbed a diaper and my daughter’s shirt and put the diaper under his leg and gave him the shirt to apply pressure and just waited for help,” said Dawson.

Many people stopped to help, but Dawson said it didn’t occur to her that they could still be in danger.

“I couldn’t believe this was happening. I didn’t know if there was a shooter on the loose, I didn’t know the situation, all I knew was he was shot and my 19-month-old was sitting in the back seat of the car watching a Disney movie and had no idea what was going on,” said Dawson.

First responders came within minutes, but Dawson said it felt like hours had gone by.

“When I got over there, it just felt like I was on the ground  forever with him,” said Dawson.

She said it was a scary situation, but she knew the man needed help and that’s how everyone felt in that moment.

“I’ve dealt with scrapes and gashes from my kids, but that’s the extent of blood I’ve ever dealt with,” said Dawson.

A lot of helping hands that put themselves in harms way to do what they needed to do.

“We kept talking to him to make sure he was still awake, asking him what his name was. One lady called his mom had him talk to her. We didn’t know what the situation was, we didn’t know what he had done, what the other person had done, it wasn’t our place to judge the situation. We just wanted to help him anyway we could,” said Dawson.
